Was that for the bottle or just a shot!
The last time I was in SF [a long time ago] the exchange rate was $2.40 to the £ sterling, but even then.
For a single glass suitable for one person, not a bottle or a vat. Now, Hendricks has a nice kick to it, but still ...
If in-hotel alcohol consumption is not down at this Bouchercon, a lot of authors are on lavish expense accounts, or else attendees drank their fill at the Lee Child party (open bar, at least for wine and soft drinks. It's good to see auch success accruing to an author.)
My consumption was decidedly down when I looked at the bar prices. Possibly a good thing. Esp for getting up for today's panel.
Now if the drink was served by Christina Hendricks. ;o)
Russel, it was a toss-up between a gin and tonic, and a signed first edition of "The Maltese Falcon."
I don't know how much even she could have added to these prices, U.R.
