I took some pix on Route 66

I visited no bookshops yesterday, though I did buy the book at right at last night's lodging place, one of America's most fun destinations.

It does look fun, though I don't think those are actually wigwams.

Ah, a great road adventure to be sure, And it reminds me a great old television series. Were you by chance driving a Corvette? And -- now that my mind draws a blank -- what were the characters' and actors' names? Was Martin Milner one of them? Who was the other?

The mention of the Route 66 TV show piqued my curiosity. I checked out the imdb site for the cast and crew. What a surprise! It seems in the 4 years it was on half of Hollywood appeared on that show at one time or another - everyone from Joan Crawford to Sessue Hayakawa.

How I wish some channel would air the reruns if they are available. I love watching actors in their salad days. Some of them really chewed the scenery Although 50 years on many are elderly or have passed on. It is always an exercise in - I know the face but I can't think of the name.

They are wigwams for the 21st century.

R.T.: Martin Milner and George Maharis? I have never watched the show, and I could not sweat I had heard of it. My transportation was a smallish red sedan.

The link Mary Beth provided in the comment following yours should answer all questions about Route 66.

Mary Beth: Thanks for that list. It looks like Robert Altman appeared in one episode, in 1961. That's quite a list, and you have piqued my curiosity about the show.
