Ken is a great guy. I've chatted with him quite a bit through email.
I'm hoping to meet him the next time he swings by Houston.
It wasn't Jack Taylor or the Brant novels that caught my attention to Ken Bruen's writings. It was his short story in the Cocaine Chronicles that just blew me out of the water and I told myself, "I need to read more from this guy."
I'm surprised to find out he has the time to chat, but not shocked that he does so, anyhow. I've read a number of accounts of what a gregarious companion he is at conventions, and he is certainly a widely loved figure.
