Crime and vice in Cambodia
I got some good monkey shots outside Phnom Penh today. In the human-being department, I looked up "China white" after my tuk tuk driver offered to get me some. He also offered "Girl, anything. Cambodia has lots to make happy-happy."
Had he offered to hook me up with some good loc lac or sticky rice with mango, he might have had a customer As it was, I declined with thanks.
And now, the monkeys, with a guest appearance by a human from the Russian Market.

Monkeys. They are closer relatives than we like to think.
Amazing photos, Peter.
What a great trip.
Seana, their behavior was startlingly close to what we humans do. There was the massage that you see here, for instance. And there was the money who hogged the bag of bananas for himself, other monkeys approaching cautiously, then running away when he looked up. Then, when the hog-monkey finished with the bananas, another monkey darted over, grabbed the bag, and retreated across the street with them.
Thanks, Maria. Yes, it was a grew trip that provided countless opportunities for good shooting from the streets to the temples.
